Hong Kong QMAS general points scheme

Under the general points scheme the current prevailing pass mark is 80 points and quota based.

Simply having enough points doesn’t automatically mean you will progress to the next stage. Your skill set will also be expected “to enhance Hong Kong’s Economic competitiveness in a global Market” along with your intentions and ability to support and accommodate yourself.

But what you must bear in mind is that QMAS is looking for those who have specialist skills in shortage areas but do not have employers as sponsors. If you feel your skills and experience are exceptional and bring a greater value to HK that currently isn’t available through the resident labour force then it would be worth applying.

Processing time under QMAS is around three months from the date of application.
